Privacy Policy


The following privacy policy applies to the websites of House of Talents BV, with its registered office at Beneluxpark 26 / 046, 8500 Kortrijk, and company number 0555.937.484, as well as its affiliated and associated companies (within the meaning of Articles 1:20 and 1:21 of the Companies and Associations Code), including House of Talents and its legal entities.

This policy provides insight into the personal data we process about you as a user, the purposes for which we process this data, and how we handle this personal data. We recommend that you read this privacy policy carefully.

House of Talents considers the careful handling of personal data a priority. Personal data is therefore carefully processed and secured by us. In these processes, we comply with the requirements set by the GDPR and the Data Processing Act of July 30, 2018.

This Privacy Policy may be adjusted or updated regularly. We kindly request that you consult this Privacy Policy regularly to ensure that you always have the most recent version.

A. Which personal data do we process?

When you apply for a vacancy through our websites or in any other way, we ask for your consent to process your personal data to help you find a suitable job.

A.1. When you use our websites, we collect:

  • Technical information about your device, such as your IP address, browser type, geographic location, and operating system
  • Information about your browsing behavior, such as the time you spend on a page, which links you click, which pages you visit, and how often you visit a particular page, whether via cookies (see Cookie Policy)

A.2. When you fill out a contact form or sign up for a newsletter, event, or webinar, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, postal address, phone number
  • Your current employer and your current position
  • Information about your education and work experience
  • Your resume, cover letter
  • The log data of your message (date, time)

A.3. When you are considered a talent by us, we may collect:

  • Notes made during the application process
  • Profile name and password for our online portal
  • Evaluation forms, recommendations, test, and assessment results
  • Pay slips
  • External and internal payroll information
  • The log data of the conversation (date, time, who you communicate with, ...)
  • Other personal data you provide to us.

**A.4. House of Talents also processes public data, namely data found in public databases such as the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises, data you have made public on a website, data that are generally known, or appeared in the press.

**A.6. We do not use automated data processing or profiling.

B. Purposes and legal basis for processing

We process your personal data to provide you with the requested information, products, and services in a personal and efficient manner.

**B.1. If you contact us via the contact form with a question or comment, we process your personal data based on our legitimate interest (to be able to answer your question) based on the legal basis of performance of the agreement (if you wish to use our services).

B.2. When you are looking for a job, we process your personal data to:

  • Help you find a suitable job
  • Communicate with you about open positions and the progress of any applications
  • Provide your data to suitable future employers as part of the application process
  • Send you notifications about open positions we think may interest you
  • Help and advise you during your job search
  • Provide you with information about general trends in the job market
  • Ask for your feedback on our services and fulfill our obligations to our clients when you are offered a job.

We do this based on the legal basis of performance of the agreement. We have made it our duty to match the right candidate to the right vacancy and client.

B.3. If you ask us as a client to work with you, we process your personal data to:

  • Provide you with the requested services
  • Provide you with reports on the work we perform for you
  • Advise you on relevant services and products
  • Provide you with information about general trends in the job market
  • Ask for your feedback on our services.

Here too, the legal basis is the performance of the agreement.

**B.4. Additionally, we process your personal data to comply with legal obligations or to respond to any reasonable requests from competent law enforcement agencies or representatives, the judiciary, and government agencies or organizations, including competent data protection authorities.

We do this based on a legal obligation.

**B.5. We process your personal data to perform statistical analyses to improve our websites, products, and services or to develop new products and services.

This is based on our legitimate interest.

**B.6. Finally, we may also process your personal data in connection with events, whitepapers, webinars, or for direct marketing purposes.

In these cases, we rely on the legal basis of consent. This consent is always requested by House of Talents and its entities at the moment (and location on the website) where they wish to collect the data based on consent. If your personal data is provided to us by a third party in connection with an event (for example, because you were listed as a potential sponsor by a participant in one of our competitions), we will verify as soon as possible whether you have given your prior consent.

You can object to a given consent at any time without any reason. You can contact us for this purpose via GDPR@houseoftalents.be.

C. Transfer to third parties

We do not provide or sell personal data to third parties without your consent.

Exceptions to this rule are the exchange between House of Talents' affiliated or associated companies based on the legitimate interest of House of Talents. It is also possible that personal data is transferred in the context of the performance of your agreement with House of Talents, as well as in case of a legal provision or court order. Finally, it may also be that House of Talents transfers personal data in the context of a merger or acquisition. In such a case, however, everything is done to minimize and secure this transfer as much as possible.

House of Talents may also engage third parties who perform or help facilitate certain processing of personal data mentioned in this privacy policy under its supervision. These third parties always act under the responsibility of House of Talents and may not carry out any personal data processing of their own. These parties are also always bound by a specific processing agreement.

D. Security of your personal data

House of Talents guarantees a high-quality level of data security by taking all necessary and reasonable technical and organizational measures. We strive to regularly evaluate and adjust these measures if necessary. House of Talents therefore accepts no liability for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the unlawful processing of your personal data by a third party.

E. Retention period

House of Talents will retain and process your personal data for a period necessary for the performance of the agreement and in line with the purposes of the processing described above.

A suitable profile is a dynamic concept, as you, as a talent or client, grow and open up a new range of functions.

Your personal data is therefore retained as follows: for the duration of the services in accordance with the purposes described above, there is an active retention period, and as soon as there is no more contact, for a passive retention period of 5 years.

F. Your rights

When processing your personal data, you have several rights. If we ask for your consent for a processing, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

  • Right of rectification, deletion, and restriction
  • Right to erasure of your data
  • Right to object to direct marketing free of charge and without justification

We try to respond to your request and, if possible, handle it within a month of receipt.

To handle your request specifically and correctly, we ask you to be as specific as possible when making your request. In addition, we need to verify the identity of the requester. Please therefore attach a copy of your identity card to your request.
